Players will leave LMS at 1:40 PM for the game Let’s show Colville what it means to compete in front of Lakeside fans who cheer with positivity and pride! Grade Checks This week, we will be running official grade checks for all student-athletes. Any athletes who are failing two or more classes will need to attend practices but will not be eligible to play in games. If an athlete is failing one class, they can continue playing, provided they participate in Lunch Academy to stay on track academically. Our goal is to support students in maintaining success both on and off the court. 🏀 Game Night Recap: Lakeside vs. Mountainside 🦅 Tonight was a huge milestone for our 7th Grade Eagles as they stepped onto the court for their first game of the season against Mountainside Middle School! This wasn’t just any game—it was the first chance for these young athletes to showcase their hard work, dedication, and passion for the sport. Both the girls and boys teams gave it their all, fighting valiantly and leaving everything on the court. Their determination, resilience, and teamwork set the tone for an incredible season ahead. A big shoutout to our amazing managers who kept the clocks and scorebooks running smoothly—your behind-the-scenes work is invaluable! We also want to thank Mrs. Smith’s yearbook students for capturing the excitement with over 600 photos from tonight’s event. Your hard work ensures these memories will last a lifetime! And while basketball took center stage, we also had a plethora of students in Games Club, testing their skills at board games, card games, and more. At Lakeside Middle School, we’re all about helping kids find their passion, and tonight showcased just how involved and dedicated our students are. All LHS & LMS students, athletes, coaches, and parents are invited to attend a special resilience building and mindset coaching seminar on Saturday 14 December at 9:00am. This is the third in a series of leveling up mentorship seminars. Our guest speaker will be former EWU Defensive Football coach and Mental Strength Coach, Ryan Sawyer!

🎵🎤 Eagles Shine On and Off the Mat 🎤🎵 Tonight was a showcase of talent, effort, and holiday spirit at Lakeside Middle School! 🎶 7th & 8th Grade Band, led by Mr. Mazurek Our talented musicians brought the holiday season to life! The 7th and 8th Grade Band delivered an unforgettable performance, featuring solos from Celilo G., Everett B., Josh D., Jaxon P., Gabby S., and Lucas S., each of whom absolutely crushed it. The band played a handful of festive holiday songs that had the audience tapping their feet and singing along, leaving everyone in the holiday spirit. Huge thanks to Mr. Mazurek, our fearless band director, for taking on the ambitious task of teaching his entire setlist in under four weeks! Your passion and dedication inspire our students and community alike. Bravo to the band for their hard work, talent, and energy—it was a performance to remember! 🤼 Eagle Wrestling Dominates Deer Park & Mountainside Our Eagle wrestlers showed grit and determination, earning multiple wins across the board! Special shoutouts to: • Kai C. for wrestling three hard-fought matches with unmatched tenacity. • Grayson S. for battling hard in a tough matchup. • Cody W. for being an absolute dog in the most beastly way possible! 🏅 Lakeside Wrestling Shines on the Mat! 🏅 Tonight, our Lakeside Middle School wrestling team squared off against Colville and Newport in an electrifying tri-match, and they didn’t disappoint! Our Eagles put up a major fight, showcasing grit, determination, and sportsmanship in every round. A huge shoutout to our incredible table crew who kept the matches running smoothly: Addlee H., Abby B., Elise K., the entire Matiska family, Kyle Cossette, Josey K., and Adora O.. Your hard work made a big difference! Special thanks to Mr. G., our amazing announcer, who kept the energy alive all night long, and to Coach Tomio and Coach Ziemann for being the unwavering support system our athletes needed to succeed. 🇺🇸 Veterans Day at Lakeside Middle School 🇺🇸 Last Friday, we were deeply honored to welcome Veterans from the Nine Mile community to our school for a special Veterans Day assembly. Our talented choir and band filled the room with inspiring music, setting the tone for a truly memorable event. Students delivered heartfelt speeches that captured the spirit of gratitude and respect, reminding us all of the immense sacrifices our Veterans have made. We also shared hand-written notes and posters created by our students, which will soon be delivered to Veterans across Spokane to express our appreciation. It’s a small gesture to say thank you for their service, sacrifice, and the freedoms they have protected. A huge thank you to Mr. G., our leadership teacher and a Veteran himself, who orchestrated this powerful event. To all Veterans, words can never fully express our gratitude, but know that we are truly thankful. 🦅
